How to get there
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn du eine nachhaltige Anreisevariante wählst. Du kannst zum Beispiel mit dem Zug, dem Fahrrad oder mit einer Fahrgemeinschaft anreisen.
Zug
Mit dem Zug nach "Neuseidl am See Bahnhof" - von dort sind es ca. 15 min Fußweg zum "Haus im Puls", dem Festivalzentrum. Wer gleich zum See schauen möchte, steigt eine Station weiter bei "Neusiedl am See Bad" aus.
Es ist möglich, mit dem Zug aus Wien für Tagesbesuche an- und abzureisen. Der letzte Zug aus Neuseidl Richtung Wien geht meist um 23:02 Uhr (bitte vorab bei der ÖBB informieren!)
Auto
Mit dem Auto erreichst du das Festival am besten über die A4, wenn du aus Richtung Wien kommst oder über die B50, wenn du aus Richtung Eisenstadt kommst.
In Neusiedl gibt es mehrere kostenpflichtige Parkmöglichkeiten. Folgende Parkplätze stehen zur Verfügung:

Train
Take the train to ‘Neuseidl am See Bahnhof’ – from there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to ‘Haus im Puls’, the festival centre. If you’d like to head straight to the lake, get off one stop further on at “Neusiedl am See Bad”.
It is possible to travel to and from Vienna by train for day trips. The last train from Neusiedl to Vienna usually leaves at 23:02 (please check with ÖBB in advance!)
Car
The best way to reach the festival by car is via the A4 if you are coming from the direction of Vienna, or via the B50 if you are coming from the direction of Eisenstadt.

There are NO parking fees on Sundays and public holidays.

Es gibt einige Hotels und Pensionen in Neusiedl am See. Einen Überblick findet sich auf der Tourismusseite.
Für günstigere Varianten gibt es einen Stellplatz am See in Neusiedl, sowie weitere Möglichkeiten in den umliegenden Ortschaften, z. B. einen Stellplatz in Jois oder Campingplätze in Breitenbrunn oder in Poderdorf (Rad oder Auto nötig, um wieder zum Festival zu gelangen).
There are several hotels and guesthouses in Neusiedl am See. An overview can be found on the tourism website.
For cheaper options, there is a motorhome area by the lake in Neusiedl, as well as other options in the surrounding villages, e.g. another motorhome area in Jois or campsites in Breitenbrunn or Poderdorf (a bike or car is needed to get back to the festival).

How to get around
Von Veransraltungsort zu Veranstaltungsort gelangst du am Besten zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad.
Fahrräder können in Neusiedl beim Fahrradverleih Waldherr direkt am Hauptbahnhof Neusiedl am See oder an einem Verleihstand am Rathausplatz ausgeliehen werden.
The best way to get from one event location to the next is on foot or by bicycle.
Bicycles can be rented in Neusiedl at the Waldherr bike rental shop directly at the Neusiedl am See main train station or at a rental stand on the town hall square.
Barrierefreiheit
Die Bühnen Stadl und Waldbühne sind barrierefrei und gut für Rollstuhlnutzende erreichbar. Auch die Veranstaltungen am Hauptplatz sowie im Innenhof des Haus im Puls sind rollstuhlgerecht zugänglich.
Aktuell können wir leider noch keine speziellen Angebote für Menschen mit Hör- und/oder Sehbeeinträchtigungen anbieten. Wir arbeiten jedoch bereits daran, unser Programm in zukünftigen Festivalausgaben inklusiver zu gestalten.

The Stadl and Waldbühne stages are accessible and easily reachable for wheelchair users. Events on the main square and in the courtyard of the Haus im Puls are also wheelchair accessible.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer any special facilities for people with hearing and/or visual impairment. However, we are already working on making our programme more inclusive for future editions of the festival.

Food
Auf dem Festival wird es ein feines kulinarisches Angebot geben, dass sich von Essensständen, über etablierte Lokale, bis zu kleinen Bars und Cafe-Wägen erstreckt. Zusätzlich gibt einige gute Orte für "Schmankerl" in Neusiedl, die auch unabhängig vom Festival ihre Türen geöffnet haben werden. Die folgende Aufzählung orientiert sich nach unserem Geschmack, sowie an der Nähe zum Festivalgelände.

The festival will offer a fine culinary selection, ranging from food stalls and established restaurants to small bars and coffee carts. Additionally, there are several good places for a bite to eat in Neusiedl that will be open even outside of the festival. Neusiedl am See

ist mit ca 8.900 Einwohner:innen die zweitgrößte Stadt im Burgenland. Sie liegt am Nordufer des Neusiedler Sees, der zugleich die Grenze zu unserem Nachbarland Ungarn bildet. Die Stadt liegt an den Ausläufern des Leithagebirges und ist durch hügelige Landschaft, den See und die umliegenden Weingärten geprägt.
Neusiedl liegt in der Region Pannonien – daher auch der Name des Festivals "PannOpticum" als Mischung der Regionsbezeichnung und des altgriechischen Wortes „Panoptikum“, einer Kuriositätensammlung.
Die Region Pannonien ist bekannt für das pannonische Klima: heiße, trockene Sommer und milde Winter. Es ist eine der sonnigsten Regionen Österreichs.
Die Region um den Neusiedler See ist durch ihren einzigartigen Steppensee und einen riesigen Schilfgürtel geprägt, der als Heimat seltener Vogelarten dient.
Aufgrund des Klimas und der Böden ist die Region eine der bedeutendsten landwirtschaftlichen Flächen Österreichs. Besonders der Weinbau spielt eine zentrale Rolle.
Wer neben dem Festival Neusiedl und seine Umgebung erkunden möchte, kann das am besten mit dem Rad tun – ein paar Routenvorschläge finden sich auf der Tourismusseite von Neusiedl am See.
Ansonsten gibt es das Strandbad in Neusiedl, wo es sich gut (Schlamm –)baden lässt. Oder einfach am Steg bei der "Mole West" ein Glas Wein genießen!
Der Kalvarienberg oder die Tabor-Ruine sind außerdem schöne Ziele für Spaziergänge, die vom Festivalgelände aus erreichbar sind.

With a population of around 8,900, it is the second-largest town in Burgenland. It lies on the northern shore of Lake Neusiedl, which also forms the border with our neighbouring country, Hungary. The town lies at the foothills of the Leitha Mountains and is characterised by its hilly landscape, the lake and the surrounding vineyards.
Neusiedl is situated in the Pannonia region – hence the name of the festival, ‘PannOpticum’, a combination of the region’s name and the ancient Greek word ‘panoptikon’, meaning a collection of curiosities.
The Pannonia region is known for its Pannonian climate: hot, dry summers and mild winters. It is one of the sunniest regions in Austria.
The area around Lake Neusiedl is characterised by its unique steppe lake and a vast reed belt, which serves as a habitat for rare bird species.
Thanks to its climate and soil, the region is one of Austria’s most important agricultural areas. Viticulture, in particular, plays a central role.
If you’d like to explore Neusiedl and its surroundings alongside the festival, the best way to do so is by bike – you’ll find a few suggested routes on the Neusiedl am See tourism website.
Alternatively, there’s the lido in Neusiedl, where you can enjoy a refreshing (mud) bath. Or simply enjoy a glass of wine on the jetty at the “Mole West”!
The "Kalvarienberg" and the Tabor Ruin are also lovely places for a stroll, both within easy reach of the festival site
